In previous roles in other organizations, I have assisted customers identify user and business needs, defined technical specifications to meet those needs, evaluated vendor capability and supervised implementation of complex IT systems. I am passionate about growing the technology community in Uganda and on the continent. I believe in the mantra “Coded in Africa, for Africans by Africans”. My emphasis during this journey is to ensure that women are equal participants in the African technology revolution.

Who, why this blog – Chicken Farmer

Who am I, why this blog. I am just a regular guy who is venturing into poultry farming. My identity is kept secret to protect the innocent, but the purpose of this blog is to share my experiences developing the infrastructure, building the business and what we go through.

So yes we are now building the chicken houses, and preparing the grounds for the new arrivals. I will be starting with 1000 day-old chicks, a big number yes, with a dedicated farm manager who is enthusiastic about the endeavor.

So as the construction is going on we are preparing for the brooder, and other areas. 

So lets do this …
